This is why the idea of “set of rules” for Christians is so absurd. We have been saved from sin through Jesus Christ, through his death and resurrection from the dead. We have been brought into a relationship with God which allows us to be close to him every day.

In short, we have been saved by God's grace and power and it is only because of this that we can be saved by our own good works.
